NEW GENERATION HOMES GIVES AWAY $5,000 IN CLEAR VALUE TO DALYELLUP MUM

A Dalyellup mum has seen firsthand the clear value commitment offered by New Generation Homes following a $5,000 cash prize awarded to her by the South West homebuilder on 27 May.

Meagan Nix of Dalyellup was the lucky winner chosen at random to win $5,000 cash for taking part in a three-week radio promotion with HOT FM which asked listeners to visit New Generation Homes’ website and nominate which home they thought offered the best value.

Mrs Nix said that all homes offered great value, citing her personal favourites as the Houston and Onyx. She said she had no immediate plans for the money but hoped to put it towards building her dream home.

“Ironically, my husband and I had already spoken with Summit South West about building one of their home designs a couple of years ago but our plans have temporarily stalled with the arrival of our new baby. This win will help get that dream back on track,” Mrs Nix said.

Summit South West General Manager David Hunt said that the promotion coincided with the launch of New Generation Homes’ brand refresh which helped demystify the congested homebuilder market by bringing back a focus on clear value.

“The new logo and messaging in all of the New Generation promotions continues to highlight the work the company does behind the scenes to not only provide big, spacious homes that will grow with families, but also to provide these homes at an affordable price,” Mr Hunt said.

“It can be confusing for homebuyers to determine the real value when all builders include different things.

“At New Generation Homes we understand that if the offer is good enough, it doesn’t need dressing up. So we focus on building added-value features into our homes, and then clearly outlining what you get.

“As part of this, we wanted to send a strong message that we meant business so offering five thousand dollars in cold hard cash was a really clear way to prove that,” Mr Hunt said.

HOT FM Program Director Mat Cummins said HOT FM was really excited to have played a part in the promotion.

“The feedback from our listeners was just amazing and I know the competition was fierce with many entries received from right across the South West.

“HOT FM is delighted for Meagan and knows that thanks to New Generation Homes she’ll put her $5,000 prize to good use,” Mr Cummins said.

SOUTH WEST NAMED BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR SECOND YEAR RUNNING

Listening to customers and building liveable, people-focused homes has seen Summit South West win the highly coveted "Best Customer Service (Medium Large Company)" accolade for the second consecutive year at the 2010 South West Master Builders Building Excellence Awards on Saturday.

The back-to-back win was realized following the judges’ independent assessment that the Bunbury-based residential building company once again demonstrated the highest levels of customer service and construction excellence in the region.

Summit South West, based on Hennessey Road Bunbury, is part of the Summit Homes Group and offers customers quality homes from its range including Summit Homes, New Generation Homes and Lifestyle Homes as well as custom builds for people living in the Bunbury and greater South West Region.

Last weekend’s win capped off an impressive run for Summit South West with major awards for customer excellence also won at the Housing Industry Association Regional Housing Awards in September 2009.

General Manager David Hunt said that in striving to be the region’s most people-focused builder, the customer was always placed at the centre of everything the company did.

Mr Hunt said that while his team was collectively proud of all awards, ultimately it was the customer who has become the main winner.

“A number of our clients were interviewed as part of the judging process so it is their independent and unbiased opinion of the work we do that has helped us win this accolade for the second year running,” Mr Hunt said. "As the region’s most people-focused builder, our goal for the next 12 months is to lift our level of service even higher so that we can claim the customer service award for the third time in a row, something which, to my knowledge, is yet to be achieved by a South West builder.”
