Summit Homes Group welcomes passing of First Home Owner Grant
Summit Homes Group today welcomed the news from the State Government regarding the passing of the First Home Owner Grant.
General Manager New Homes Tony Harvie said there had never been a better time to enter the market.
“The passing of the legislation today to raise the first home buyer grant to $10,000 for new properties and reduce it to $3,000 for established properties means there are 7,000 more reasons to get the ball rolling towards realising your new home dream,” Mr Harvie said.
“Combine that with record interest rate lows and Easystart Home’s $3,000 new “Get Started” promotion, means that first home buyers have every reason to be excited.
“At Easystart Homes, our aim is to make things easy – from finance through to building.
“We understand the first step for homebuyers to making their dream a reality is finance and that’s why we’ve done the hard work to source the most competitive low-deposit home loans in Perth and all that’s needed is $3,000*”.
There are no income or assets tests to qualify for the FHOG, but to be eligible a number of factors need to be met including age and residency criteria and each applicant must occupy the home as their principal place of residence for a continuous period of at least six months, commencing within twelve months of completing the eligible transaction.
Further information regarding the FHOG, including frequently asked questions, can be found at www.finance.wa.gov.au or obtained by phoning the FHOG enquiry line on (08) 9262 1299
