Case Study: Happy first time builders

Being able to customise their new home to their exact taste were among the top factors as to why Neha and Rohan opted to build with New Generation Homes instead of buying an established property.

“We also loved the idea that it would be brand new, that no one else would have lived it in before and that there would be no maintenance issues that come with an established home,” Neha and Rohan said.

The couple bought a block of land in Success after being unable to find exactly what they wanted in Perth’s northern suburbs.

“Blocks of the size we wanted were either simply non-existent or unaffordable in the northern suburbs,” the pair said.

“Where we have built, it has easy access to bus routes, which take us directly to the train station as we both work in the CBD.”

After securing their block, the first time home builders and homeowners, embarked on a detailed search for the right builder and were impressed with the “healthy dose” of positive reviews they read about other people’s building experience with New Generation Homes.

“We also took a liking to a few of their display homes and floorplans on the website and decided to visit these in person,” they said.

“The friendly, non-pushy and very knowledgeable staff we then encountered at the displays gave us the push we needed to make up our minds and we decided to begin our building journey with them.”

The pair chose a single-storey, three-bedroom, two-bathroom design, which was a modified version of the Harvest floorplan.

It also features a powder room, spacious activity room, a store room, scullery, 31 course ceilings, Essastone benchtops and carpets to all bedrooms and the activity room.

Neha and Rohan have been happily living in their new abode since earlier this year, and said each New Generation team member they encountered during the building process was patient, friendly, professional and knowledgeable.

They were particularly impressed with their new homes consultant Samantha Lutey, who they said went “above and beyond” during the early stages of the building process.

“Right from when we signed our contract to when we picked up our keys, the ongoing communication we received from New Generation Homes was great,” they said.

“We always received regular updates which is essential for the relationship between yourself and your builder.”
