Make the most of a $10,000 grant towards your first home.

Building your first home? Great news! You may qualify for the First Home Buyers Grant, which makes buying your first home more doable.

What is the FHOB grant?

The first home owner grant (FHOG) is a one-off $10,000 payment to encourage and help first home buyers buy or build a new home. Only one grant is payable per transaction, which means only one per couple or family.

These government initiatives have been designed to support aspiring homeowners like you. Our team of experts at Westgate Finance are well-versed in these grants, ensuring you don’t miss out on any financial assistance.

Imagine stepping into your very own home, knowing that you’ve taken advantage of the FHOG and other available home grants. With New Generation Homes, you can turn this dream into a tangible reality.

Do I qualify?

Building your first home? You may qualify! Your salary doesn’t affect your eligibility so no need to stress on whether or not you earn too much or too little.

You do have to be an Australian Citizen or a Permanent Resident (if you are buying as a couple one buyer must meet this criteria) so make sure you’ve crossed those t’s and dotted those i’s before applying.

Frequently asked questions

What is a home loan?

The lender (bank) and borrower (you) will agree on a term in which the loan is to be paid back ‒ typically, this will be a period of 25 to 30 years. The lender and borrower will also agree on a repayment schedule, which will generally be fortnightly or monthly.

In addition to the total loan amount, you will be required to pay interest. The type of interest payable will be determined by the loan agreement. There are several types of interest rates, including fixed and variable. We explain this in further detail below.
